We received our first invoice today - for our agency fee, due March 13. We are waiting on the completion of our home study to apply (or in some cases, re-apply) for adoption grants, but first we must pay for the home study. Our social worker will be flying in from Germany one week from today, on March 1. And so the financial side of all of this becomes a pressing reality!
There are many smaller fees that we have been paying to see doctors/psychologists, obtain blood tests, and legalize documents. But these larger fees are looming, well, larger! Would you pray specifically for God's provision for these?
- monthly child support for the twins (begins now) $300/month
- 1/2 of Airfare for social worker (due now) $800
- Home Study (due first week of March) $1,500
- Agency fee (due second week of March) $4,500
- Fee for I-600A & fingerprinting (due before April 1) $850
- 1/2 of Haiti fee (due with dossier submission, end of March) $8,000
There are others, but these are the most immediate needs. We have seen God's hand at work throughout this adoption process in many ways, and we are asking Him to provide as only He can to bring Ian & Eliana home ...
