A Sincere Thank You

A pastor's family living humbly and serving faithfully in a small country church -

Two missionary families living by faith each month -

Two more pastor's families with little money to spare -

Several moms who have also walked the transracial adoption journey -

High school and college friends -

People I've never met, except for this blog -
These, and others, are those whose gifts towards Ian's and Eliana's adoption have humbled and blessed us in recent weeks. Many come with the note, "I only wish we could do more" and yet knowing the stories behind the gifts makes them so much more valuable to us than a dollar amount could ever be.

The very day I wrote about the discouragement I felt following my empty-handed return from the Haitian Embassy, I received an unexpected call from someone I knew had no financial resource to do so - yet who called to tell us that a very significant gift would be coming our way for these pressing needs.

I just want to say ... Thank You.

For loving us, for loving our children. For being a part of this journey, whether through prayer or notes of encouragement or financial gifts. For sharing the joys and the sorrows and the vision of what adoption will mean to these two precious lives.

Words fall short, but the sentiment is real ... we appreciate you so very much!
