We know that there were people praying for us today as we slipped in and out of three separate offices in record time this morning to get Chilean legalizations! The papers were left at the third office to be picked up tomorrow morning, and then I have an 11:30 appointment with the Haitian Embassy to receive their authentications. There is a slight possibility of an extra step with the Haitian Embassy but I am not going to worry about it unless it becomes an issue ... I am just going to rejoice with what God accomplished today through your prayers!
I told Pedro that for the first time today I felt almost giddy thinking that I can finally see the end in sight with our dossier ... it will be the most amazing feeling ever when the entire package is finally sent to Haiti, I think! Please continue pray for the $4500 we need to make that happen!
On a humorous note, we took Owen with us downtown today. Thursdays are the one day of the week that Pedro and I have free together (neither of us teaching) and it also happens to be one of the days Owen does not have pre-school, so even though it wasn't our first choice to bring our very active and conspicuous two-year old on the Metro and walking all over downtown Santiago, we didn't really have another option!
I did tell my husband, though, that having Owen with us might actually help our cause in these government offices. And wouldn't you know it ... when we entered the third and final building and were just about to step into a very long line of waiting people, the lady behind the counter said, "Oh, you have your little one with you? Step right this way, please!" and we were sent to the very front of the line! It was WONDERFUL! (So Pedro has promised never to doubt me again on this one, ha!)
God is good! Thank you for your prayers!
