Dossier Done, Dinero Due

Yes, it's true! Our dossier is DONE. Praise the Lord!!

Now the "dinero" is due. This is where the rubber meets the road. To date, God has provided everything exactly when and how it is needed. Not too soon, not too late, just in time. You'd think by now I would have learned not to worry. But ... I'm not in my glorified body yet! (:

As things stand, we are waiting for a recent financial gift to be moved from one account to another in order to have the full $4500 for our agency fee. However, we found out tonight that the Haiti fee of $8000 ($4000 per child, and this is just half of the entire fee) is due at the same time ...

without that fee to begin the process in Haiti (as every office obviously requires payment, and our dossier will pass through MANY offices by the time this is done) we might as well not send the dossier since it could run the risk of getting lost or misplaced while it waits.

But we do have some positive news!! ... we found out that we have moved into the final phase of having our Shaohannah Hope's grant request reviewed AND we have been pre-approved for a 0% interest, covenant adoption loan through Lifesong for Orphans, providing the funds are available (to be paid back on a monthly basis over 3-4 years ... while not our first choice, it is still a good option.)

PLEASE PRAY that these funds will come through even THIS WEEK so there is no further hold up on our process. The average 10-12 month wait to bring the kids home does not start until AFTER the dossier is received in Haiti.

We are specifically praying that our dossier will arrive in Haiti the first of May and that our boys will arrive ten months from that date, in February 2009 (just in time for our move to Iquique.) Humanly speaking, it is nearly impossible but DIVINELY SPEAKING, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD.

Thank you for upholding Ian and Alec and our family in your prayers!

Congratulations Stephanie! That is a huge accomplishment. For me, waiting on God often proves to be more difficult--- I like to be in control. But He is ALWAYS on time!
Keep pressing on-
Blessings to you and your boys!

I would also love a 10 month wait! Nothing is impossible, so we continue to hope!
