... I had hoped to have our dossier mailed to Haiti. (Even better, I had hoped to have it mailed to a friend who could hand-deliver it since she is heading to Haiti this week on a missions trip and to visit her sweet son and beautiful baby daughter.)
But with about $7,000 still to go on our Haiti fee ... we are stalled until those funds come in. I have been on the phone and e-mail with several of the grant agencies to which we have applied. It is a waiting game. Only it's not a game, it is precious time lost during which our adoption process could be moving forward in Haiti.
Ironically, this morning it was my turn to teach our ladies' counseling class and the topic I was given was "Anxiety and Preoccupation." So appropriate ... We talked about how our thoughts affect our emotions, and how we need to focus our thoughts on God's sovereignty and on Truth.
That will be my goal for getting through today!

I'm praying that the funds come in quickly. We waited all those years before applying because we just couldn't afford it. So frustrating!
But you know how our story quickly ended. Even though we start making monthly payments soon, we're getting back tax rebates and credits, and employer reimbursement soon too.
We would have never guessed that God would answer our prayers in such a way. (Even though we were praying for this type of outcome!)
I'm praying for the funds to come through, for the process to go smoothly and quickly, and for you and your family as you wait on God's timing.
Oh Steph! Funds coming between a family in this way is so frustrating! So much so! I hear you girl and will send some more prayers you way.
I'm a bit behind....so I gotta say I did see the darling pics of your boy...and now you officially have part of your heart living a good distance from you. He is just an adorable bundle of cuteness!!
