Packing for Haiti!

This is one of two suitcases already packed for our trip to Haiti on the 19th. This one happens to be the suitcase for our boys, filled with clothes, blankets, toys, formula, cream, baby wipes, swim diapers ... you name it, we probably have it or else it is on the list! The hard part is the luggage limits for this trip. We are each allowed two suitcases but they can only be 70 lbs combined ... yikes!! I'm pretty sure we will have to pay for an extra bag since we are also bringing donations for the other children.

It's really happening! I wish this was the only thing we had going on this week but in reality there is so much on our plates right now ... please pray for clarity and strength and the ability to get everything done that needs to be done here at home and then for a successful trip to Haiti as well.

Having seen God provide a financial miracle for this adoption, our new prayer request is for a "bureaucratic miracle" ... that our boys would arrive home in absolutely record time! Will you pray along with us? GOD bless!!

Oh my word. I am so happy that you are about headed out . . . God is SO good. You suitcase looks filled to the brim with important things for those 2 precious boys!! I may have missed this but where will the other kids stay while you are gone?

Your suticases look so neat and organized. We packed stuff in ours as tight as we could. We took a hot pot, ramen noodles and cans of food to cook in our hotpot! (Those meals add up if you are eating in a hotel restaurant like we were.) We even had a blow up pool in our luggage!

That is so great!! Make sure you post pics as soon as possible. And- everything happens in God's time, beauracracy can't decide for Him. ;)

Hi, I just found you blog and want you to know that I am going to continue to read it. I will be praying for a quick adoption process as well. I worked at an orphanage in Haiti for 3 months in 2005 and I cannot wait to adopt a haitian baby. God is going to bless you SO much with those two little men, and they will be able to live a much better life because of you. Thank you for adopting them.
