Hurricane Hanna

According to Licia at the Rescue Center, Hurricane Hanna
" ... took Haiti by surprise and came down on us during night and early morning. It rained again for over 24 hours here in Cazale. We have been hearing news by radio and calling friends and family we know. This is what I have heard on the news here in Haiti. Gonavies, a large city up north, was hit hard by rains and flooding. A reporter was on top on a house and counted 10 bodies that floated by. One of Enoch’s friends that lives there said it is worse than last time a bad hurricane came through several years ago. Enoch [Licia's husband] left his car in town, up above Petionville, and a tree fell on it. Luckily just a cracked windshield. His brother that lives in town had several trees fall in his yard and broke several windows in his house. We did not have a lot of wind, but Port-au-Prince did. There are reports and lots of trees and electric poles down. The radio is reporting the death toll at 26 right now."
Praying for safety ...
