We stayed at Le Plaza in downtown Port-au-Prince. (I was hoping to post the link but it seems that their server is currently down - if you Google it you should be able to find their website with further details in the next day or two.) This is the review that I posted on a travel site regarding our stay:

We spent one week at Le Plaza and had a very good experience. We booked an executive room ... and were pleased with the size of the room. It was not new and there were some quirks with the older bathroom fixtures, but it was clean and comfortable. The grounds were amazing - beautiful, lush foliage and a large swimming pool. A major plus was the free wireless internet that allowed us to stay connected with our family back home. Also, breakfast was included and the meals offered by the restaurant were reasonably priced and delicious. What most impressed us was the quality of the service. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful and kind. Being in downtown Port-au-Prince, we did at times feel somewhat insecure but the hotel has armed guards as well as a number of UN peacekeepers as long-term guests. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely return.
