If I Could Change One Thing

... about our trip to Haiti, it is that I would dearly have loved to spend time with Haitian Christians and visit a Haitian church. Tonight I read an adoptive mom's description of Haiti as "a sad place with pockets of joy" and I thought that was such a tender and true phrase based on what I saw in Haiti as well. But the "pockets of joy," besides being the precious children we love, must also be those Haitian Christians who find their faith and stability in Jesus Christ no matter how the winds and storms blow around them. Two other blogs I read tonight confirmed that thought in my mind, and I wanted to share the links with you as well:

Hi Stephanie! I'm so sorry we weren't able to connect in Haiti. Our time each day was pretty much mapped out. Your boys are precious & I'm glad you had a great trip. We attended church last Sunday at Port au Prince Fellowship & really appreciated worshipping with the Haitian people. It was a great experience
