I Never Thought It Would Be This Long

I truly never thought we would be in IBESR this long.

When we first went in, we were told that the lawyer handling our paperwork was usually able to get it through IBESR in 1-3 months.

We entered around the 1st of July ... we are approaching the 1st of February ... that is not six long months as I have been saying, but seven long months that we have been in paperwork stagnation.

It's not our lawyer's fault ... it's not our agency's fault ... it's just the "bad luck" of entering IBESR just prior to a change of leadership and all the stops and starts that entails.

Only, we don't believe in luck.

Which puts us "between a rock and a hard place" of admitting that going into IBESR when we did; remaining in IBESR as long as we have; and continuing to wait with no end in sight ... for reasons we cannot begin to understand is part of His plan. And that is sometimes a hard pill to swallow.

We are between a rock and hard place ... no, we are between the Rock (Jesus Christ) and a hard place (IBESR.) We are still on solid ground. We need faith - oh, how we need faith! - that He will see us through. Please keep praying ...

Praying for you and with you. This adoption process is definitely a season of growth, isn't it?

We are also in the "black hole" of IBESR and have been since June 5th. I feel your pain :(
I am also praying for His mercy through this horrible wait...
