Beyond Expectations

The number of children who find families through adoption are small, in comparison with the number of children who need families. Children die of malnutrition and disease every day. Their births are often unrecorded and so are their deaths. They have silent little lives of despair.
I received an article via e-mail today, written by an adoption agency director who recently visited Haiti. Her description were very thought-provoking, but it was the last line of the quote above that really broke my heart.

Tomorrow I leave for Haiti. Pray that I will bring Hope with me to a place that knows Despair all too well. Pray that I will bring the Light to a place that bows down to Darkness. Pray that I will be covered in the armor of God, and that He will work in such a miraculous way that the time with my sons will be beyond all expectations!

Thank you for remembering to pray for Haiti, pray for Home ...
