Thanksgiving in Haiti

This morning, I spoke with Lawanna while the kids at her place were having breakfast. Already she had the turkey in the oven, and the night before she and Lacey made four pumpkin pies from scratch (yum!) Today's plans are to have a full Thanksgiving meal with the kids and caregivers and some friends who will also be joining the celebration. Today I am extra thankful for those who lovingly care for my boys until they can be home to celebrate with us ... and I am extra prayerful and hopeful that the next holiday (Christmas) will be one we can celebrate together.

Praying this is your last holiday apart. It is a blessing to know they are so loved and well cared for while they are away.
