I saw it with my own eyes.
At the airport on the day I left Haiti, I saw children going home to their forever families. This post by Frankie's mom reminded me of that today. (It also reminded me of saying goodbye to my little boys, so tears are pretty close to the surface right now.)
But back to the good news ... indeed, I saw two families with their Haitian children, at the airport, waiting to take a flight to their new lives in a new land. My heart twisted with a mixture of happiness for them and deep sadness for myself, as I myself once again left with empty arms.
Behind my tears, I chose to rest in the fact that someday the wait does end and our dreams do come true. Hoping so much that will be a reality for us and many other families very soon.
