A Plea

I have written to the US Embassy in Haiti:
To Whom It May Concern:

In the midst of this tragedy our hearts are burdened for the safety of our sons ... whose visa appointments are scheduled for this coming Tuesday morning.

We write to plead that their visas be issued so that we may bring our sons into the security of our home.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
If it is God's will ...

Update - I received this automated response ... Please keep praying ...
Due to the recent earthquake, the U.S. Embassy in Port au Prince is focusing its efforts on assisting U.S. citizens affected by the crisis. We regret to inform you that all routine visa services have been temporarily suspended. However, the State Department continues to make adoptions a priority and will continue to work on adoption cases.

We are sure everyone is very concerned about their children. At this time we have no new information. The local phone lines are down, and we have no way of contacting the orphanages or Adoption Service Providers. Once communication lines are open, we will be contacting them to determine their status. There is a travel alert and travel warning for Haiti. Please visit: http://travel.state.gov. People outside of Haiti with information or inquiries about U.S. citizens in Haiti may reach the Haiti Task Force at 888-407-4747.

Thank you to everyone who has sent on their prayers and well wishes.

We will be praying! 8yrs ago I was in Haiti on MLK day ready to bring my daughter home and had to wait until the next day for the Visa. She is home though. It took another 2yrs to get little brother home and then Aristide abandoned the country in the middle of getting big brother home...but they are all home. They do come home. MLK week is a good week and I pray that you will have as blessed of a Tuesday as I did :)

I am believing God is going to use this horrible tragedy to bring your boys home sooner... He knew this earthquake was coming and even though the devastation & loss is so great... He will bless you & your family through this to make your family complete! Through every step we give God the glory. Praying for you & all the Haitian people. Carin oxox
