I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but Alec is a HUGE ball fanatic. Big balls, little balls, rubber balls, soccer balls, baseballs - if it is round and can be thrown, he LOVES it!
So you can imagine his overwhelming excitement when a birthday party our kids were invited to on Monday was hosted at a play place complete with a ball pool. (I just wish I could have captured his enthusiasm on video, but we were without a camera!)
He shrieked. He squealed. He laughed. He jumped. He shouted. He "swam." He rolled over and over and up and under and around and surfaced for air only when necessary. Joy bubbled up from inside him and spilled over from his shining eyes and giggles and crazy antics.
His was probably the most real and uninhibited delight I have ever seen in my life.
And it was beautiful. :)

I only wish they had ball pits when I was young! Would have joined him in his joy.
