If you look under the heading "Haiti Blogs I Read" in the right-hand column of this blog, you will find one entitled "how can they hear." It is the blog of missionaries Cody and Maria Whittaker who along with their two young daughters serve in Haiti.
Yesterday Maria flew to Miami with their youngest daughter Susana for some medical testing at Miami Children's Hospital. Susana had been ill for two weeks with what they initially thought was malaria.
Instead, the Miami doctors have informed them that little Susana has cancer.
Please pray for this family as they face what every parent fears. Maria posted today about how she knows God has been preparing her for this moment, but even so the reality is overwhelming and painful.
