Poetry Compilation - Adoption

This is a letter I sent out to various friends this evening. If by some chance it catches the interest of someone reading this blog, please leave me a comment with a way to contact you and I will be sure to do so!

Hello! This is a different kind of letter than I have written before, but I want to start it by letting each of you know that if you choose not to read it or respond, I will not take it personally nor will I be keeping track of who replies and who does not. (:

That said, I am writing to a number of women who I consider friends and/or friendly acquaintances and who might be willing or interested in participating in an adoption fundraiser on our family's behalf.

For those who are unaware, we are in the process of adopting twins from the country of Haiti! Our adoption journey is chronicled here: http://iansadoption.blogspot.com and it has truly been a faith journey for us! One of the greatest challenges we are facing is that which most adoptive families face - finances. God has been providing in many ways both big and small for our needs as they arise, but we now have two very large fees coming due ($4500 and $8000) and we are seeking to meet those fees through two adoption fundraisers. One will be a t-shirt that a friend has specially designed for us, and the other is a poetry compilation of approximately 44 poems that I (Stephanie) have written over the past ten years, all pertaining to infertility, adoption and parenting.

The reason for this letter is to coordinate a group of ladies who would be willing to sell a certain number of the poetry books on our behalf. We have already had several people volunteer to sell 10, 20, even 50 books. In order to know how many to print, however, we need to get a firm number of those willing to do so, and how many books each would want.

IF (and I realize this is a big if!) you are interested and willing to participate in this endeavor with us, would you please e-mail me with your name, address, and the number of books you would like to receive? That way I can know how many to order and I can be better organized in the process. I will then get more details to you as soon as soon as possible.
