Question & Answer

I posed this question to our adoption coordinator in Haiti, by way of an e-mail:
I meant to ask this before, but I was just wondering - is there anything that can be done for the little ones whose health needs are so desperate (such as Ian and his cousin?) Does the government view that as a special medical need and perhaps give priority to those cases? Or are there just so many needs that the government does nothing?
Her answer, based on 20 years of working in Haiti, was once again heartbreaking:
Haiti is Haiti, starving children is what it is all about.the people, and government could care less if all the babies pass on.

That is very, very sad! I will be praying for these children and the many others in their situation.
