FYI
The poem below is one of 40+ original poems I have written and compiled into a small poetry book for our adoption fundraiser. We have been sending them out in groups of 5, 10, even 50 to friends interested in selling them on our behalf for a $10 donation, and still have plenty left over ... if someone would like to join us in this effort, or simply purchase one or two individually, please let us know via a comment on this blog (I won't publish addresses or e-mails.) Thank you!

The garage sale is June 19-21. It's nice because our whole sub does it, and a lot of people come since there are so many garage sales.
I ended up have three last year (which is pretty much two too many!), but the last two were fundraisers for Steven. I made close to $800 at the first one, and a good bit at the second one. (We had a lot of donated items to sell, so that helped out!)
I'm going to set up a little table with pictures, adoption brochures, and a donation jar, along with the food, of course. I'm hoping it goes really well! If it's hot like it was two years ago, we should do well in the pop/water selling. If it's freezing like last year, I'll have to start making coffee!
I'd love to get a poetry book as well, but I'm going to have to wait until the next pay cycle :)
