Written Words

This weekend, I visited the blog of a Scottish nurse who just days ago reached Haiti to begin working among the children at God's Littlest Angels orphanage. Her written words describe Haiti and the sights, sounds, smells and sorrows there in ways that even photographs cannot ... I was moved to tears reading her "Day One" entry today. I am ever more thankful for the many people who touch the lives of the children who wait for their families, during the weeks and months when they are so far apart ... and who extend compassion and gentle kindness to the ones whose "forever home" outside the orphanage becomes a heavenly one.
