this is the biggest painting - I love the bright colors
it is framed exactly like #2 above (double frame & mat)

I knew there was one thing I was interested in purchasing while we were in Haiti if at all possible, and that was a painting. As it turned out, our adoption coordinator also needed a few small paintings so she took me to the man she purchases from and I ended up not with one, but four! Numbers 1 & 4 above are large paintings and numbers 2 & 3 are small. For all four I paid the unbelievable price of $40US dollars (unframed.) I was so happy! It feels right to have these reminders of our boys' heritage as part of the makeup of our home.

What amazing pictures! I'm still trying to decide how to incorporate Steven's heritage into his bedroom. I found the perfect carved African monkeys playing peek-a-boo (his all-time favorite game!) at the African Heritage Festival in Detroit. . .but our budget currently has no room for extras :( I'm hoping they're back next year and that I can figure out some way to get them!
Stephanie- My husband bought a very similar painting to #1 for our daughter's room. It looks wonderful and brings some of her heritage to Indiana for her. Angie
