Preparing for the party - Lawanna made two beautiful birthday cakes for our boys, all from scratch. She is my hero! :)
Anderson was our official balloon blower. He has a good set of lungs! He was also a great babysitter while we tried to get the final details put together for the party.

The boys posed by their birthday cakes, and Alec decided to swipe an early taste from his (see picture #2!)
Despite the encouragement, Alec didn't have much appetite for his piece. (He started with diarrhea and a fever later that night.) Ian, on the other hand, dug right in!
I brought four dozen "bumpy" balls to distribute among the kids. I think they were a hit - a day or so later, I took the most adorable video of two toddler boys using theirs for an intense game of soccer. (Stay tuned for that clip at a later date!)
I am so thankful for the opportunity to share this special memory with my boys, and especially to the new friends who made it possible to pull it all together on short notice. Happy 1st birthday, Ian and Alec!

Your boys are absolutely adorable..and oh so kissable looking! I know you are enjoying them to bits. So glad you get to spend this time with them.
