Evie on our first visit to Haiti, September 2008

Evie is a little girl at our sons' orphanage in Haiti. I have seen her on every visit to Haiti and often hoped that soon she would have her own family and a loving home. Today I rejoiced to read that finally she had received a US visa and was headed to the airport to fly to the waiting arms of a family in Indiana! Unfortunately, before reaching the airport word was received that Haitian immigration had rejected Evie. You can read her story on the August 24 post of this blog: http://dieunika.blogspot.com/.
